If you're familiar with the tri-county area, you know that Winnsboro is the place to come on a Friday or Saturday night to relax with
friends and enjoy some good food and entertainment. Friday, July 24th presented one more opportunity to do that when The Winnsboro
Gallery hosted a reception for talented woodturner, Mitch Gray.
Visitors to the Gallery who have been intrigued by the "how's" of woodturning had an opportunity to meet Mitch and learn some
of his secrets. He explained the process beginning with how he chooses just the right log and then transforms it into a piece of art.
The woodworkers in the crowd bombarded Mitch with questions all evening and Mitch delighted in answering all of them.
Of course, learning about woodturning wasn't the only reason to be at the Gallery that night. While they perused the other fine art in
the Gallery, acquaintances quickly became new friends, enjoying a glass of wine and some wonderful appetizers prepared by Art &
Espresso owner, Marilyn Arnaud.
Events like this one give art lovers an opportunity to meet their favorite artists and are held every few months at The Winnsboro Gallery.
